2020 CTWC Japan Lite Regional was an online tournament featuring players from Japan. It happened on April 26, 2020.
The tournament was created after the in-person tournament was cancelled by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Players were given a 1-hour session in the Qualifying Round. Afterwards, they were seeded by their highest score achieved.
Top 6 players advanced to the Tournament.
The first round was the “Group Match”. Seeds 1, 4, and 5 were placed in Group A, while Seeds 2, 3, and 6 were placed in Group B.
In each Group, all three players competed together (1 vs 1 vs 1) in a single match.
Players earn the following match points in each game.
- 1st Place – 2 Match Points
- 2nd Place – 1 Match Point
- 3rd Place – 0 Match Points
When the first player reached 7 match points, they advance to the Knockout Rounds (Single-Elimination Bracket) as the Group Winner. After that, the match continues with the remaining 2 players until one of them reaches 7 match points to advance to the Knockout Rounds as the Group Runner-up. The third place finisher is eliminated from the tournament.
Basically, the first 2 players in each group to reach 7 match points advance to the Knockout Rounds (Single-Elimination Bracket).
4 players total advanced to the Knockout Rounds. All matches in the Knockout Rounds are Best of 5.
