2024 CTWC Genesis Regional took place at Genesis X in San Jose, California. It happened on February 16-17, 2024.
Winner won free entry into 2024 Classic Tetris World Championship.
Qualifying happened on February 16-17, 2024
Gold and Silver Bracket happened on February 17, 2024
In the Qualifying Rounds, players had the option to qualify in-person and/or online.
In-person qualifying involved waiting for a spot to be available. From there, they were given a 1-hour session.
In the Online Qualifying session, players are given a 1-hour session. They may decide to do another attempt in-person for an additional $10. If that happens, their best session will be used to determine their seeding rank.
After the Qualifying Rounds, players are seeded by the number of maxouts achieved, followed by their highest non-maxout score (kicker).
Top 12 advanced to the Gold Bracket.
Seeds 13-24 advanced to the Silver Bracket.
Gold Bracket had a Third Place Match, while Silver Bracket did not.
Other than that, Gold and Silver Bracket had the same format
Top 4 seeds of each bracket had byes to the Quarterfinals
Round 0 and Quarterfinals were Best of 3
Semifinals and Finals were Best of 5
