The 2025 CTWC Genesis Regional had a DAS tournament on Friday, February 14. DAS was the only playstyle allowed in this tournament.
There was an Open Tournament the following day, where all playstyles were allowed.
In the Qualifying Round, players signed up for a 1-hour qualifying session. They were seeded based on the number of maxouts, with their highest non-maxout score (kicker) used as a tiebreaker.
16 players advanced to the Gold Bracket, where all matches were Best of 5. While everyone else competed in the Silver Bracket.
Back in September, 8-year-old Tetris prodigy, Zrobot, made his debut appearance at a CTWC event by participating at the 2024 Jonas Cup. Although, he did not qualify for the brackets. This time, Zrobot (now 9 years old) qualified for the Gold Bracket, and competed at his first CTWC match.
