The 2025 Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC) will be at the SoCal Retro Gaming Expo in Pasadena, California.

The Tournament is on Friday through Sunday, June 6-8, 2025. When booking flights and hotels, make sure the dates you selected are correct. People have mistakenly booked the wrong months.

Here is the address to the Pasadena Convention Center, that is where the expo will be at. Further directions on how to get there are on the Visit Pasadena website.

Tickets To Attend The 2025 Classic Tetris World Championship

Select “Add-ons” on the left side of the screen to view the CTWC Add-on

To attend 2025 CTWC, you will need tickets to the SoCal Retro Gaming Expo which are available on this page.

This part is important. When you buy the tickets, make sure you get the free CTWC Add-On. That will let you enter the Expo before the official opening time to attend the Classic Tetris World Championship. The tournament happens before opening time.

If you plan to attend all 3 days, you will want to get the “Full Event 3 Day Weekend Pass – Friday, Saturday and Sunday”.

If you only want to watch the Finals, that will be happening on Sunday, June 8. Getting the “Sunday Only Pass” or “4 Pack Sunday Bundle” will let you attend CTWC during the Finals.

Which Airport To Arrive At?

The 2 major airports that I recommend is either LAX or Burbank Airport. If it is convenient, I recommend going for a direct flight to the Burbank Airport because traffic at LAX is horrible.

I will talk about transportation options you can use to get to your hotel from the airport. After that, I will tell you how to use the public transportation network.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

When you arrive to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), there is a FlyAway Bus that will take you to Union Station.

From there, you can take LA Metro’s Light Rail Line to Pasadena.

Burbank Airport (BUR)

If you can book a direct flight to Burbank Airport, I recommend going to that airport. It will be less congested than LAX.

Taking an Uber to and from the airport should be cheaper than taking one to LAX.

For the public transportation route, you can take a Metrolink train to Union Station. From there, take LA Metro’s Light Rail Line to Pasadena.

Los Angeles Public Transportation

LAX FlyAway Bus

For the FlyAway Bus, you can either purchase the ticket ahead of time or use Visa/Mastercard contactless credit card for an in-bus purchase. More information on their FAQ.

One-way fares are $9.75.

When you board this bus, make sure it is the one going to Union Station (NOT Van Nuys).

LA Metro

All of LA Metro’s Subway and Light Rail line stations (including Union Station) have a kiosk where you can purchase a TAP Card and load money in it. You will need a TAP Card to board the rail lines.

All LA Metro’s transportation cost $1.75 per one-way trip which includes 2-hours of free one-way transfer. There is a fare cap where you will only be charged up to $5/day. More info on fare capping.
