The 2021 Dr. Mario Championship (DrMC) was the 5th annual tournament. It returned as an In-Person event, since the Covid-19 Pandemic.
For the first time, it was held at the TORG Gaming Expo in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament relocated there after Replay FX had shutdown permanently because they were unable to recover financially from the pandemic.
The tournament’s format was similar to previous In-Person tournaments. Qualifying round featured players lining up to join a 6-player Round-Robin Pools. The Pool Winners were guaranteed a spot in the Playoffs. While the rest of the players
The Top 32 players qualified for the Playoffs, which was a Single-Elimination tournament with every match being a Best of 5.
