2023 CTWC Kansas City Regional: Timestamps

2023 CTWC Kansas City Regional took place at Kansas City Retro in Overland Park, Kansas. It happened on December 2, 2023.

This event was sometimes referred to as 2024 CTWC Regional because it was the first tournament of the 2024 CTWC Season. Since then, organizers decided to name regional tournaments by the year that it was held.

Winner won free entry into 2024 Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC) in Pasadena, California.

In the Qualifying Round, players had the option to qualifying in-person and/or online.

Players that did in-person qualifying waited in line for an open station, where they would have one attempt at the game. From there, they may return to the line for another attempt.

If a player scores a maxout, they will be given an additional 1-hour session. Afterwards, the player’s qualifying scores are locked in.

Players that did online qualifying were given a 1-hour session. After the session, if the player had scored a maxout, their qualifying score is locked in. They will not be able continue qualifying in-person.

If the player does not score a maxout in their online session, they may continue to qualifying in-person.

Top 12 players advanced to the Gold Bracket
Seeds 13-20 advanced to the Silver Bracket

In the Gold Bracket, seeds 1-4 had byes to the Quarterfinals.

Round 0 and Quarterfinals were Best of 3
Semifinals and Finals were Best of 5
