Popular Twitch streamer, Simply, got into playing NES Tetris after watching Summoning Salt’s video on the history of Tetris World records. Since then, he has been mastering the game.
Eventually deciding to host his own tournament called Austin, Tetris. Featuring 16 Twitch streamers from Austin, Texas who will compete head to head to become the winner.
Simply’s Austin, Tetris tournament happened on Friday, September 13, 2024.
To help the players out, Simply let the players know that they were playing the NES version of Tetris. Unlike Twitch Rivals, where the organizers failed to tell the players that they were playing Classic Tetris, which led to a disaster because they were practicing Modern Tetris. (Classic and Modern Tetris are very different games)
