2022 CTWC Minnesota Regional took place at Plymouth Creekview Building in Plymouth, Minnesota.
It happened on April 3, 2022. The winner won free entry into the 2022 Classic Tetris World Championship.
In the Qualifying Round, players wait in line to sit at an NES station where they will have 3 attempts at the game. After that, the player may go back in line to attempt a better seeding rank.
If a player maxes out in the qualifying round, they will be given a 1-hour session. After that, their qualifying run is over.
Players are seeded by the number of maxouts achieved, following by their highest non-maxout score (kicker).
Up to 16 players can advance to the bracket. Since only 5 players participated, all of the players advanced to the bracket.
The tournament was Double-Elimination. Winners Bracket was Best of 5, while Losers Bracket was Best of 3. Grand Finals was Best of 5.
