The 2026 CTWC Genesis Regional had a DAS tournament on Friday, February 13. DAS was the only playstyle allowed in this tournament.
There was an Open Tournament the following day, where all playstyles were allowed.
Qualifying consisted of 1-hour sessions.
The “Classic Tetris Wars (CTW) format” was used to determine seeding rank, where every game awards a certain amount of qualifying points.
- 0-599,999: 0 points
- 600,000-699,999: 1 point
- 700,000-799,999: 2 points
- 800,000-899,999: 3 points
- 900,000-999,998: 4 points
- 999,999-1,099,999: 6 points
- 1,100,000-1,199,999: 8 points
- 1,200,000-1,299,999: 10 points
- 1,300,000-1,399,999: 12 points
The player’s highest score in their session is used as a tiebreaker.
16 players advanced to the Gold Bracket, where all matches were Best of 5. While everyone else competed in the Silver Bracket.
